
5S Methodology
5S methodology ek proven system hai jo manufacturing, service industry, office environment—har jagah productivity aur efficiency ko boost karne mein madad karta hai. 5S ka full form hai: Seiri (Sort), Seiton (Set in order), Seiso (Shine), Seiketsu (Standardize) aur Shitsuke (Sustain). 1. Seiri (Sort) – Jaroori vs Bekaar
Sabse pehla step hai saare items ko categorize karna: jaroori (important) aur bekaar (unnecessary). 4. Seiketsu (Standardize) – Process bana lo
Agle step mein aap consistent banate ho tools aur cleaning procedures ko standard. Checklists banao, visual controls (color codes, signboards) lagao. Jab har koi ek hi tarah se kaam karta hai, tab errors aur confusion kam hote hain. Example: har weekend sab log milke 5S audit karte hain, checklist complete karte hain aur continuous improvement discuss karte hain.
5. Shitsuke (Sustain) – Discipline aur culture
5S ko culture banane ke liye sabko train karo, awareness programs rakho. Discipline maintain karna tough hota hai, lekin habit banane se sab naturally follow karne lagte hain. Reward system implement karo—for example monthly ‘5S Champion’ award. Iss se motivation bhi milegi aur sustain bhi rahega.
