Schematic Arrangement of Steam Power Plant/Thermal Power Plant

Thermal power plants, jise hum steam power plants bhi kehte hain, electrical world ka backbone hai. Yahan steam ka magic hota hai – paani ko heat karke high-pressure steam banaya jaata hai, jo turbine ko ghumata hai, aur generator se electricity nikalti hai. Aaj ke post mein, hum detail mein dekhenge schematic arrangement step-by-step, important tricks aur mnemonics ke saath, taaki aap PSU JE ya engineering exams mein easily yaad rakh sakein.

1. Steam Generation Section

Paani pehle boiler mein pump ke through jata hai. Boiler ek giant closed vessel hota hai jahan fuel (coal, gas, ya biomass) jalta hai. Yahan se produce hoti hai superheated steam. Trick: “BPS” – Boiler, Paani, Steam. Yad rakhne ke liye socho “Boiler Mein Paani Se Steam” – BPS.

Example: Jaise ghar mein chai banate waqt pani ko ubalte ho – bilkul waisa hi principle, bas scale bada hai. Boiler mein tubes hain jahan se heat exchange hota hai aur steam nikalti hai.

2. Steam Turbine Section

High-pressure steam turbine ke blades par hit karti hai, jisse turbine shaft ghoomta hai. Yaha energy conversion hoti hai: thermal energy se mechanical rotary energy. Mnemonic: “STG” – Steam To Generator. Yani “Steam Turned Generator”.

Familiar Example: Socho wind turbine jise hawa ghumati hai – yahan steam hi wind ka role play kar rahi hai.

3. Electricity Generation Section

Turbine shaft directly coupled hota hai alternator/generator se. Jab shaft ghoomta hai, magnetic field cut hota hai conductors se, aur Faraday’s law ke according induced current generate hoti hai. Trick: “TFI” – Turbine-From-Induction. Yaad rakhne ke liye “Turbine Fights Induction”.

Fun fact: Agar generator 3600 rpm par chale, toh 50 Hz frequency milti hai India mein – yahi national grid standard hai.

4. Steam Condensation Section

Steam turbine se exhaust steam condenser mein aati hai. Yahan cooling water tubes se heat transfer hota hai – steam phir paani mein condense ho jata hai. Yeh process vacuum banaata hai, jo turbine efficiency badhata hai. Trick: “SCV” – Steam, Condense, Vacuum. Socho “Steam se Condense to Vacuum”.

Example: Garage mein AC chalane pe pipe se drip hoti hai – thanda karke paani drop ban jaata hai, bilkul waise hi steam condense hokar paani ban jaata hai.

5. Feed Pump & Recycle

Condenser se jo liquid water collect hota hai, usse feed pump boiler tak wapas pump karta hai. Yeh closed loop cycle ban jata hai, jise Rankine cycle kehte hain. Trick: “PRB” – Pump, Recycle, Boiler.

Tip: Rankine equation yaad rakhne ke liye “R for Recycle and Rankine”.

6. Auxiliaries & Economiser

Boiler se pehle economiser hota hai – flue gases se water preheat hota hai, jisse fuel efficiency improve hoti hai. Auxiliaries – forced draft fan, induced draft fan, air preheater, etc. Mnemonic: “FIFA” – Fans, Induced, Forced, Air-preheater.

Example: Car radiator system – preheat engine coolant with excess heat, jaise economiser preheats feed water.

7. Cooling Tower & Draught System

Condenser ki circulating water ko cooling tower se pase hota hai, jahan air contact mein aakar cool hota hai. Draught fans flue gases ko chimney tak expel karte hain. Trick: “CCD” – Cooling, Chimney, Draught.

Real-life: Power plant ka chimney rocket launch pad jaisa lage, gases shoot out.

8. Safety & Control

Pressure relief valves, emergency shutdown, temperature sensors, level gauges – yeh systems ensure karte hain plant safe rahe. Mnemonic: “SPC” – Safety, Pressure, Control.

Trick: Jab exam mein poochein, “SPC devices ka role batao” – bas list out kar do.

Conclusion & Short Tricks Recap

Is poore schematic arrangement ko samajhne ke liye yaad rakkho:

  • BPS – Boiler, Paani, Steam
  • STG – Steam To Generator
  • SCV – Steam, Condense, Vacuum
  • PRB – Pump, Recycle, Boiler
  • FIFA – Fans Induced Forced Air-preheater
  • CCD – Cooling Chimney Draught
  • SPC – Safety Pressure Control
In tricks se revision super-fast ho jayega exam se pehle.

Aise hi examples yaad karke aap steam power plant ka concept exams mein zaroor ace karenge. Practice karo, diagrams draw karo, aur in mnemonics ko dimaag mein laga ke rakho!

Agar aapko boolean simplification, logic minimization ya exam ke short tricks chahiye, toh yeh article aapke liye hai. Neeche ek handwritten PDF bhi diya hai jo aap directly download kar sakte ho — practice ke liye perfect. K-Map kya hota hai? (Simple definition) Karnaugh Map ek visual trick hai jo boolean expressions ko simplify karna aasaan bana deta hai. Ye truth table ko 2D grid mein convert karta hai jahan adjacent cells ko combine karke terms ko reduce kiya jata hai. Agar aap truth tables se frustrated ho, K-Map se kaafi jaldi minimal expression mil jaata hai. K-Map ke basic rules (short aur crisp) Cells ko power-of-two groups mein group karo: 1, 2, 4, 8 ......
